Chateau de Dournes (and Farmhouse), Near Revel, Tarn
Bienvenue! Welcome to Chateau de Dournes! This is your chance to get away from it all...but to do so in style! A chance to rent your very own, ivy-clad, 18th century chateau! Set in 15 acres of lawned and wooded gardens (the photo below is just the back garden!) deep in the Tarn countryside and recently fully refurbished, we've owned Dournes since 2001. After many happy holidays here with our 4 children and their friends, we can testify that it's ideal for a family break or for even larger parties as the Chateau sleeps 11, the Farmhouse another 6. The Chateau and its farmhouse are not overlooked from any angle and are separated from each other by 50m of woodland. They share a few facilities, notably the pool, but can easily be rented independently of each other: indeed, we even let our 18 year old son and his friends stay in the farmhouse in 2007 and we never heard their all night antics! However, we can offer those renting the Chateau the chance to also rent the farm 'unoccupied' at a reduced rate to ensure maximum privacy. Go on - spoil yourselves! It'll be the family holiday of a lifetime!

Dournes is 8km NE of the small town of Revel, 20km SW of Castres. We're on the border of the Tarn and Haute Garonne departments. We're just an hour from both Carcassonne (Ryanair) and Toulouse (BA, Easyjet, Jet2) airports. Depending when you travel, it takes between 9 and 12 hours to drive to us from the Channel Tunnel.
